Introducing ‘Sakurai Tea Lab’, a Japanese tea specialized store
Placed on the 5th floor of the Aoyama spiral building in Tokyo.
This shop was founded by a worker of the previously introduced ‘HIGASHIYA man’-related shop.
Created from the thought of wanting to get more people to know about Japan,
Selecting teas from all over Japan and gathering them, and the founder roasting them in person and transmitting the attractiveness and the ways of enjoying tea.
Once entering the shop there is a sales space, roasting space, and about 8 seats in the tea room in the back.
I had tea in the tea room with a friend♪
When choosing from the meu, the staff brought tea samples and explained its production area, and its quality,
And recommended what the customer would probably like best.
I ordered the seasonal tea blend of pear and ginger,
My friend chose a bitter Sencha.
While waiting, you cannot get your eyes off the tea serving demonstration of the staff.
The tea can be enjoyed in 3 infusions,
The 1st infusion, 2nd infusion, and the continuous infusions each have different colors and tastes which can be enjoyed.
Together with the tea, we had ‘Himuro Tofu’ a summer Japanese snack.
The tofu in the agar is slightly sweet and is a Japanese snack that is also visually cooling♪
Other menus include tea and blended sake courses,
And some customers go by to enjoy the place as a bar at night.
Now knowing that there is this kind of enjoyment, I felt the undiscoverd deepness of Japanese tea.
It could get crowded during weekends, so visiting with a reservation is recommended♪
