Introducing “Noumon Uneno” in Kyoto.
This is a kyoto udon shop held by a long established soup shop “Uneno”, that has 110 years of history in Kyoto.
Placed in a 7-minute walk north of Sanjyo station.
Inside of the shop is always filled with locals and tourists, and there are repeaters coming from afar as well.
The menus vary from classics to seasonal.
Makes you want to try different menus every time.
This day I ordered the “Oyako udon” and “daily cooked rice”♪
On top of the udon, there is chicken and egg, kujo green onions,
Their prideful soup spreads the deep scent in the mouth even within just one scoop.
Udon in Kyoto is known for being made a bit thin and soft.
The noodle of “Nioumon Uneno” has a light taste and is easy to eat.
And this is the “daily cooked rice”.
Today was corn and manganji red pepper cooked rice♪
Dried young sardines were included and the Kyoto traditional ingredients can be fully enjoyed.
Everything is really delicious and was a fulfilling lunch.
At “Uneno”san there are other shops conducted such as the Oden specialized shop “Fuyacho Uneno”, and I would like to visit there next time＾＾
