Recently we hear of the chocolate of “Bean to Bar”. Do you all know of this?
It is of creating chocolate from purchasing cacao up until packaging within one company, and through the last few years the number of products like this is increasing.
Hiro also likes chocolate and in the staff blog from now on, we would also like to write about chocolate related to these particular chocolate and introduce them as a series
This is the first one.
I went to the chocolate shop “green bean to bar chocolate” in Nakameguro.
This shop is about a 9-minute walk from the Nakameguro station.
As the name defines, all of the process in making the chocolate takes place in the workshop established within the store.
In seeing the people and the environment the product is being made makes the love for the product increase and even makes them feel delicious
Chocolates made in this procedure takes 45 days to create each!
The ingredients are well chosen and is made with care.
Personally, I fell in love at first sight with the package design.
The Japanese patterned indigo design is a very impressive sight for a product with a strong western image.
Its easy for both male and females to buy, and would be great as presents
There is also a café space where you could also enjoy watching the process of making chocolates, which was a very nice atmosphere.
This time, I didn’t buy a chocolate bar and instead, two snacks
these two each have orange or citron peel inside, but the citrus acidity with the chocolate blends in well and was very good.
Depending on the product, you could taste them, so please do try choosing the sweetness.
The shop is along the Meguro river so you could also enjoy feeling the difference depending on the season you go
